Introduction
Indonesia — the world's 4th most populous nation with over 280 million people, and Southeast Asia's largest economy — enters 2027 at an inflection point. The government is projecting growth of 5.8 - 6.5% in 2027, on track to reach 8.0% by 2029, while the IMF forecasts a steadier growth of 5.1%. Either way, the demand drivers for coatings are unmistakable: the three-million-homes programme, new industrial estates and hyperscale data centres, continued downstreaming, and a widening EV and electronics manufacturing base. Yet per-capita paint consumption still trails Malaysia and Thailand — and that gap is precisely the opportunity.

Building on last year's market overview, this Indonesian Market Presentation moves from description to direction, with a special focus on the following topics:

•  Economic & Policy Outlook;
•  Market Size, Volume & Per-Capita Trajectory;
•  Demand Drivers;
•  Sustainability & Regulations;
•  China–Indonesia Flows: Raw Material Sourcing, Investment & Local Partnership Models;
•  Opportunities & Challenges for New Entrants
